About Your Speaker
Madeline O’Leary
Registered Veterinary Technician

Maddie O'Leary developed a passion for veterinary medicine when she began volunteering for the Toronto Wildlife Centre in 2015. After working seasonally in the wildlife rehabilitation and nursery, she pursued a career as a Registered Veterinary Technician.

After graduating from the Veterinary Technician program at Seneca College in 2018 she had the amazing opportunity to work in the avian and exotics department at the Ontario Veterinary College in Guelph, Ontario. There she was able to care for a wide variety of animals and continued to learn about our feathered, furry and scaly friends.

In 2019 she joined the Veterinary Care team at Toronto Humane Society where she has been able to expand her knowledge about the human-animal bond and the importance of husbandry and health.
